The problem with doing commercial shoots is that sometimes you have to wait a really long time to post any of the photos. Like in the case of this shoot with Emerson Windy that we did in April of 2013. But it's completely understandable when your dealing with an artist that is building out their promotional material for future campaigns. In fact I just wrapped up a badass shoot with Emerson a couple of weeks ago that will be used over the next few months for a marketing and album campaign that I'm dieing to show everyone. Seriously rad!
But back to this shoot; We met up in Denver a few days before a performance Emerson was doing at Casselman's. We talked about different locations around the city to shoot at that would best represent him and music, and we thought why not shoot at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater? So we headed up and had a blast around the whole facility. It's a music nerds playground!
Next we headed back to our make shift studio to capture a few standard shots for future compositing. Little did I know that the cover of his lead off single Money Up would come from this shoot.
In all, this was another fun trip and shoot with Emerson Windy, and I got to see him rock the house at Cassleman's!
And the final results thanks to the craft work at Rouge Design:
