The Music Hall at Fair Park transformed into a kaleidoscopic wonderland on November 9th as The Flaming Lips took the stage for a mind-bending journey through their eclectic musical universe. This was not just a concert; it was a psychedelic odyssey that left the audience in awe. From the moment Wayne Coyne, the enigmatic frontman, stepped onto the stage, he exuded an infectious energy that set the tone for the entire night. The band kicked off the show with four giant inflatable pink robots, a burst of confetti, and vibrant visuals, immediately immersing the audience in the whimsical world of The Flaming Lips.

We couldn't handle the heat that is Dos XX until the sun went down and even then it was still over 100°. However, with the sun behind the wall, a nice breeze, and fans, I was pretty comfortable when Phoenix took the stage at 7:45 on Monday evening. And it seemed that everyone else was too as they rose to their feet when the French band, Phoenix opened up with Lisztomania. Surrounded by multiple layers of high-definition LED screens, the band appeared at times like they were performing inside a Renaissance painting, a video game, or on another planet. The band performed a career-spanning set that ended with their big hit 1901 and a reprisal of Identical, during which lead singer, Thomas Mars went into the crowd. I know that it comes as no surprise to anyone that I got caught in the middle of his crowd interactions, much like mosh pits of yore.

The final home game of the Dallas Cowboys Season was on Christmas Eve, and as tradition the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders did their Holiday Halftime Show in their red holiday outfits. This is a preview of the galleries I'll be posting of the 2017-2018 season with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.
This game was shot with the Sony a7rIII that Sony sent over for me to test drive. AT&T Stadium is always a little tricky to shoot in, add to that the fast action of the cheerleaders doing their routines and you have a fun environment to put the a7RIII through the paces.

Oh it's summer time. The air is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and bikini contests are popping up everywhere. But none of these contest can hold a candle to the annual Twin Peaks Bikini Contest. Each location across the country holds a contest in their restaurant to award one lucky girl a cash prize and a chance to compete in the finals held May 30th in Dallas, Texas. Eric and I traveled down to the Round Rock location last week to, thanks to the greatness of Jeremie Perez, help judge their semi-finals.
