Twins, unicorns, and cake smashing. Who wouldn't want to shoot this? Congrats to Vaiola and Moana for completing their first trip around the sun. Even though both of you can't read this yet, here's to many more birthday celebrations in your future!

When your best friend asks you to come over and shoot her maternity photos you naturally show up with a whole bunch of milk and tell her to hop in the bathtub, right?!? Well that's what we did and they came out awesome. And of course we had to get some silly silhouette shots too! Congrats to Shelby and Chris and the beautiful baby girl they brought into this world!

So it's been awhile (queue Staind), a long while since I've posted anything on this blog. But there have been reasons; First I've been busier then a one legged cat in a sandbox, and second I've had a lot of high profile shoots that have had to kept under wraps. Till now.
Last Cowboy season I was asked to shoot the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders along the sidelines at several home games. These photos would be used for marketing, social media, and most importantly the 2018 Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Sideline Calendar. And now that the calendar has been released, I can share some of the photos from last season with you. So the next few posts are going to be selected shots from the various games I covered last year. This set is from the October 30th game against the Philadelphia Eagles in which the DCC performed a Halloween halftime show.
Enjoy!
Read MoreGoodbye Niles City
Sitting just to the east and casting a shadow on the Stockyards sat a group of buildings in extreme decay, the heart of what was once Niles City. Comprised of a little over one half square mile in size, it once had 508 inhabitants and was labelled the "richest little city in Texas" due to the Fort Worth Stockyards Company, The Swift & Armour Packing Company, and the Stockyard Exchange. 1911 it was valued at $12 million. When the Swift & Armour Packing Company was operating at it's peak, 4,000 men and women were reporting for work. In 1923 Niles City was annexed and became a part of Fort Worth.

When a friend calls you up and has the idea of doing a white-trash themed holiday shoot, it really gets the wheels turning. While being the complete opposite of a high class fashion shoot, there really is nothing better then letting loose and having fun on a shoot where you can be as wild as you want to be. This shoot was a blast, and the AirBNB that Michelle picked out down in Austin couldn’t have been any better!

Henry The Archer printed some new shirts and needed some quick promo shots showing off the new style. I called up our friend Savannah and had her come over so I could snap a few pics. From concept to completion this probably took less then an hour, easily one of the quickest shoots I have ever thrown together. And the results, well you can see below:

The Burning Hotels rang in the grand opening of Lola's new expansion, The Trailer Park. Built as an open patio and bar situated just outside the backdoor of Lola's proper. It includes a large open air stage that is big enough to accommodate the largest DFW bands while still feeling like your playing to an intimate crowd under the evening sky. This also marked the first time the Burning Hotels played live in almost a year. You can hear more of what they have been up to, and what the future has in store for them on the Jerry Jonestown Massacre, a podcast that I also co-host: http://jerryjonestownmassacre.com/2016/03/23/show-148-burning-hotels-enter-temple/
Read MoreJessie Frye Performs For Bernie Sanders
The scene was a little crazy. Hours had passed and in that time we had been searched by the Secret Service, ATF, and a pair of bomb sniffing dogs. Then we were sequestered from area to area around the Verizon Center as preparations for the days activities were made. But all that had passed, and now I was sitting down in the dining room watching Jessie Frye scarf down a slice of pizza that she had been waiting hours to enjoy. Victory. The sweet taste of victory.
Just minutes earlier she was onstage performing stripped down versions of her songs Big Bad Wolf and One In Million, with temporary guitarist Dustin Fleming (Vandoliers),to over 9000 screaming Bernie Sanders fans in front of them. Some of those fans singing the chorus of the later song back to her. A once in a lifetime opportunity had been made available, opening for a Democratic Presidential Candidate on his North Texas stop, and Jessie and Dustin had delivered.

You know what makes you feel old? When you do a photoshoot for a high school senior and you can still remember the day they were born. Tyler is the son of proud parents Sean and Mindi Bone, and I have known Mindi every since our days at LD Bell High School. After high school Mindi became friends with my then girlfriend, now wife, Jennifer when they were both working at the same insurance company. Since then the parallels that have been made between both of our families are pretty odd and fascinating. But this post is about Tyler, one the nicest and most sincere high school kids you will ever meet. I want to congratulate him and wish him the best as he moves on from high school and enters this crazy world we live in. Keep your head up and don't let anyone discourage you!

For the trifecta in the Henry the Archer video series, I got together with the band for their last single Means Nothing from the album by the same name. What turned out as a fairly large and calculated production, actually only took about 8 hours to shoot, and went way smoother then any of us expected.

It's that time of year again, where 68 girls from all over the country converge at Gas Monkey Live to compete for the crown of Miss Twin Peaks 2015. Dallas had it's wettest May ever. The previous rainfall record was set in 1982 with 13.66 inches, but that record was shattered by 16.07 inches which sent the Trinity River deep into flood stage. 35 trillion gallons of rain fell across the state of Texas during the month of May so far, that's enough water to cover the entire state in 8 inches of water. The Trinity River in downtown Dallas is normally 30 feet across and jut a couple of feet deep, this week it grew to almost 2000 feet across and over 35feet deep.

I've been a terrible blog owner, but it's really not my fault. Nope, I blame it all on my clients who have done a fantastic job of keeping me extremely busy. So busy that I almost forget that I have this website. But honestly it hasn't been that bad of a problem and I thank all my clients for it!
So let me take a few minutes to announce that I'm now doing video work...again. It's been roughly 15 years since I did my last music video and at least 10 years since the last commercial video I shot/directed/produced. But thanks to Richard Hennessy, lead singer/guitarist in the fantastic band Henry The Archer, I'm back making videos again.

A band, a field, smoke, and a raw approach. A simple concept drawn on a bar napkin turned into the image above. And Henry the Archer was the perfect band to accomplish it.
Henry the Archer is the brain child of native New Jersey boy Richard Hennessy. Last year Richard was given the opportunity to transfer his job down to Fort Worth, Texas, so he made his way down south with the hopes of keeping Henry the Archer alive. Shortly after arriving he joined forces with Kevin Geist on drums, and Matt Hembree on bass to round out a three piece of post punk and sex pop.
